The ground has been prepared. A detour – the future. 56 Our family is growing and flourishing. Even before the word globalisation had been coined Allit was international in its orientation. Some of our contacts abroad originated in the 1970s and 1980s. As well as new customer relationships, business trips to Persia, the USA and Canada also led to personal encounters that shaped our culture and the growth of our overseas locations. The search for suppliers also took us to foreign parts, for example the Baltic. Our customers were becoming more internationalised, so we did too. The big, wide world. Carl Ackva CS has its headquarters in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, on the site of one of our sales and procurement centres. The company name is an homage to Allit’s roots in the leather factory Carl Ackva AG from which Allit sprang in 1960. Another sales centre, this one responsible for Western Europe, is located in Strasbourg, France, where Allit France S.A.R.L. has been based since 2009, and also worthy of mention are Allit Asia Pacific Limited, our Hong Kong office, as well as one of the heavyweights in of our growing family, the Allit plant in Qingdao, China, with an area of 4,000 m².
