In the 1960s the roof-tiling company Braas approached us because they needed a plastic product to use as ventilation pipe caps on their drain ventilation systems for private homes (i.e. toilets). The product had to be extremely robust and weather-resistant because they were offering their end customers a 30-year guarantee on them. Given the exacting durability requirements, we had to intensively evaluate the properties of the materials used to find the highest-quality solution available, and we succeeded in doing so.
