Polycarbonate sind beständig gegenüber Wasser, vielen Mineralsäuren und wässrigen Lösungen von neutralen Salzen und Oxidationsmitteln. Auch einige unpolare organische Lösungsmittel, wie Kohlenwasserstoffe und viele Öle und Fette, greifen Polycarbonate nicht an. Durch eine besonders sensible Spritzgussverarbeitung wird eine geringe Eigenspannung im Material und somit hohe Alterungsbeständigkeit erreicht. Application of a particularly sensitive injection moulding process ensures low internal stress in the cases and thus high resistance to ageing.
